Light

I purchased a light for my office a few months back -- it was when I was shopping at Costco with my parents. I brought it home, put it in the corner of the spare room, and promptly forgot about it. When I was at work one day, I was finding it hard to see, and realized that I hadn't brought my new light into the office. So, I brought it in today.

It's made a huge difference! It goes so bright, but can be turned down really low too if needed. I love the colour in the middle section -- I play with that all the time. One of the girls in the office loves it so much, she wants one now too!

New Chairs

Today, we both had a day off work, so we went and picked up new patio chairs. The old ones came from a set given to us by my Mother-in-Law...

The table and umbrella are still good, despite being over 20 years old. And the chairs lasted a long time. But about 2 years ago, the first one ripped. Then the second. Early this year, I broke the third, and then hubby sat on the 4th and it split too. We talked about getting a new set, but found these chairs, and ended up picking up 6 of them...

Perfect!

Dining Room Table

Today, we got rid of the dining room table. We are planning to redo our floors, and a few small renovations around the house. And one of the stipulations I had was that if we moved the dining room table out of the dining room, it wasn't going back in again. It's a big table, and too big for the space we have. So, we found someone who wanted it, and they picked it up today.

I decided to get ambitious today, and paint the table from my craft room. It's not the best made table, or the most sturdy, but it does the job. The top had been sanded down already (from when my brother owned this table). I decided it was time to finish the job. So, I dug out some left over paint that I had in the house, and got busy. I sanded down all the legs and gave the rest a good once over...

Then gave it one coat of paint... 



 Then gave it another coat of paint, and another...

And I even took a bit of the leftover paint, and gave the garden window pane a once over...

They are now sitting in the garage, drying, because it's raining outside. It took me all afternoon to do this. But, I'm really happy with the results. Although, I am a little stiff and sore!
