Max is going to be ok

Max is my mother-in-law's black cat. He's a great cat....personality plus on that guy, for sure.
But a couple of weeks ago, someone hit him. Really hard. Like with a blunt object. Like a baseball bat, or golf club, or such. Struck from behind. And meant to kill.
While I can't imagine anyone trying to kill a cat for any reason, I am trying not to think about that, and concentrate my thoughts on Max, and how he is doing.
He lived with a cast for about a week, but this week, it was determined that the cast was not working, and the vet had to amputate his leg.
I'm sad for Max. I can only pray that Max will make a full recovery, and be able to do whatever he wants on 3 paws.
