weekend

I can honestly say this today.
TGIF!
It's 70 degrees in Vancouver now. Cloudy with periods of rain. Expected highs...maybe 75.
In Dallas, it's 92 degrees. Sunny and hot. Expected highs around 105.
Somehow I think I'm in the wrong place.
If I could afford it, I would be on a plane to go spend the weekend with my girlfriend in Dallas. I do have a 4 day weekend this weekend, so it would be nice. It's only a 4-5 hour plane ride down there.
But, honestly, I think I'm just reacting to the insanely busy week at work this week. You know...so stressed out that your first thought is to hop on a plane to go anywhere just to get away from it all.
Not to mention the weather. I guess I'm just not ready to say that summer is over, and we can pack up the pool now.
So, I will stay in Vancouver...remind myself that I do love the rain...and secretly keep my fingers crossed for a dry day or two in my 4 day weekend. Although, wishing for just one more day to go swimming may be pushing it a bit :-)
