For my birthday this week, I went to Michael's and bought myself a Martha Stewart clear acrylic stamp set....the stamper block, and one of her stamp sets. While I can see the attraction to this stamp set, I have to admit it's not as "wonderful" as I thought it would be. It's hard to pull those damn little letters off, and even harder to line them up on the block. I've been crafting/stamping for some time now, and I've gotten pretty good at lining up my stamps just by eye-balling them. But, I thought the block would save me some time and a few headaches. Well, so far, not really. Although it will probably work better with the larger stamps.
I should mention that if you do decide to purchase the block, be careful with the glue that adheres the post to the block. I damn near almost glued my fingers together when I glued the handle onto the stamp block. Instructions said "Glue is permanent bonding". No shit!! But, what it doesn't tell you is that when you cut the top off the glue stick, that the glue will go everywhere. I have a feeling, I will be peeling glue off my hands for a few months now...
