Christmas cheers

Disappointment is: Pulling out the "Hot Buttered Rum" mix from the liquor cabinet, only to realize that it's been a year since you've had one of these, and the mix has now gone rancid. Yuck!

Wonderment is: having your husband tell you that you can make the mix yourself. "It's only butter and a bunch of spices. Why don't I go look it up on the internet for you", he says. And voila. 2 minutes later, we have a recipe in hand. Gotta love Google!

Happiness is: Having enough spices and stuff in the house to make your own Hot Buttered Rums.

Real Happiness is: Drinking Hot Buttered Rums and watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

OH, that sounds wonderful. Its about time I break out my worn video copy (yes, I still have a video player) off Christmas Vacation as I do every year. I never seem to tire of that movie. What are your favourite parts of that movie? Mine are when Clark says drum roll please rusty, and then starts to sing Joy to the World! I also love the dream scene when he is looking out in the backyard at his imaginary swimming pool and sees the pretty lady.. ok i will stop now
