Recap of last week/weekend...
Christmas Day was a very relaxed day. We didn't have anywhere to be until dinner time, so A and I took our time waking up, opening our stockings, having breakfast, and opening our gifts. As usual, he spoils me rotten. But I spoil him too, so it's only fair. My big present this year was a Cricut Expressions machine!!! I can't believe he bought it for me. But he got an awesome deal on it from WalMart, and I'm certainly not complaining!!
Christmas Day Dinner was at A's Mom's house this year. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was great! The snow had let up, so we managed to get there and back without any problems. They live just off of a main road, so our street was the worst. But, I forgot my camera, so no pics.
Boxing Day -- what can I say -- more snow!! We have over 2 feet of the white stuff in the yard now. With the wind making drifts in the back yard, it's up to our knees in some places! This is not like Vancouver. The weather really warmed up late in the day, and the snow switched to rain around 10:00pm. It's going to be ugly out there tomorrow! Spent the day playing with our Christmas presents! :-)
Saturday -- Started the day by shovelling the (now melting) snow off of the driveway. Then it was our postponed Christmas Eve dinner at my parent's house. Mom made lasagna *mmmm*, and all the kids were there. I came down with a sore throat around dinner time, and by 9:00pm I was feeling very feverish and "icky". But, despite not feeling well, I had a great time.
Sunday -- I'm sick. Spent most of the day on the couch. Sleeping, reading, playing with my Cricut. By the way, my bug is sick too. The Cricut works fine, except for the pressure knob. It's not working at all. So, I went to take it back to WalMart this morning, but they didn't have any in stock. I will have to wait 2 weeks before I can exchange it for another machine. The snow is melting. The roads weren't nearly as bad today as yesterday. The one good thing about living on the hill...there are no puddles in our driveway, and we don't have to worry too much about flooding.
Monday -- Back to work. I'm still not feeling very good, but it's just a head cold. So, I'm a little stuffed up, and tired, and sneezing a lot. But there are only 3 of us working today, so I could not phone in sick. Weather = rain, wind, more rain, and a bit of snow mixed in (just to keep things interesting).
Tuesday -- Working again today. So far, it's been quiet (knock on wood), so maybe I will get caught up on a few things.
