Today is a good day...

Today was a great day.
My car is all better now. It's a really good thing that I had problems the other day, and decided to take it to the dealer for servicing. Turns out the alternator belt was frayed, and needed replacing. Not to mention that the battery was leaking acid all over the place. I had the belt replaced, got a new battery, and had the brakes realigned and an oil change done. It cost me a pretty penny to get all that done, but I'm glad I did. I rest easier when I know my car is in good shape. And A said he would help me pay the bill when it comes in :-)

Afterwards, I met NL and DL for lunch. I used to work with them, and have kept in touch with N over the years. I haven't seen D for a couple of years now, but we share the same birthday, so we have a lot in common. It was so nice to get together with them. I had a great time reminiscing about the old gang, and getting caught up with all the gossip.

Now, I'm cuddled by the fireplace reading my book, and catching up on my emails/blogs. Very cozy.
