First, the ferry was late. The first part of the trip was bumpy but not bad. Then, as we sailed into the open part of the Strait, the wind really picked up. The ferry was rocking and rolling quite a bit. We finally docked, and as I was driving off the ferry, I drove into a snow storm! Yes, I said snow. It was dark, windy, and there was little snow/ice pellets flying at me as I drove home. The roads were really slippery, and the traffic moved really slow. But, finally, 1 1/2 hours late, I drove into the driveway. Was I ever thankful to be home!
