no more green splotch

Well, we finally did it. We got a new TV. We had been living with the old one for about 10 years now. It was a 32 inch Toshiba. No HDTV, no digital stuff, no wide screen, no flat screen. Just a 300lb goliath that sat in the corner of our TV room. It even had a green splotch on the upper right corner that used to appear during movies, or your favourite TV shows. We are upgrading our internet next month, and with the package comes digital TV. So, I knew that we had to upgrade the TV soon.

Well, this weekend, the green splotch became too much for me, and we decided to take the plunge and buy a new TV. Our intentions were to buy the cheapest one we could get at around 42 inches. We even had a budget. Of course, good intentions always go out the window when the 2 of us shop together.

We ended up with a Sony Bravia 46 inch flat screen HDTV. It was slightly over budget, but we actually got a really good deal on it. And, I'm glad we didn't cheap out or settle for the 42 inch. We watched 2 movies last night, and all I can say is WOW! Although, the accountant in me is still have heart palpatations over the bill.
