Book Review

It's the Little Things by Erica James.

I like Erica James. She's a British author, and her novels are mostly about relationships and romance. Her writing style is easy to read and follow. Once I start one of her books, I have a hard time putting it down.

It's the Little Things follows a couple (Sally and Dan) and their friend Chloe. The three of them were caught up in (but survived) the Boxing Day Tsunami. So, now, a few years later, the story starts with how they have coped with the tragedy, and how it still affects their lives and relationships.

It was interesting too, because while I was reading this, hubby and I watched a 2 hour special on the Tsunami on TV (TLC or History channel…not sure which). It kind of brought home the reality of the disaster…not just in what happened that day, but how something like that can affect your decisions in life, and affect your life far into the future.

Like all other Erica James novels I have read so far, this one was light, entertaining, easy to read, and easy to get caught up in the characters and their problems. Aptly titled, the story reminds readers that it’s the little things in life that are important.

Sounds like a good book. Can I borrow it since I'm going to be in the trailer a lot this summer and I'll have time to read more.
