Friday update

aaaacccckkkk!

I haven't posted a blog entry since Monday, and it's Friday now! Sorry folks! Been super busy this week.

1) Work is going ok. I think I'm getting into a routine now with the boss' job. It's still a lot of work, but I'm not freaking out as much as I was. The back and forth on the ferries is getting to me though. I'm tired all the time, and my schedule is all messed up. Some days, I have to get up at 5:00am, some days it's 6:00am, and other days it's 7:00am. My body has no clue what day it is, and I find myself up at 5:00 most days now regardless of where I am. As a result, I'm tired a lot.

2) Finished!

I completed World Without End last night. What a great book! Just like Pillars of the Earth....similar in story style and length. But a very good read. Definitely recommend. Can't believe I read 1,000 pages in less than a month!

3) Did you say new car?

Yup, that's right! Ok....so, it's not new. It's a 2004. But, it's new for me. I pick it up tomorrow. Long story short, I'm buying it from my Mother-in-Law. I'll post the story later in the weekend (it's a great "be-careful-what-you-wish-for" kind of story). In the meantime, I can't wait. I've been driving my car for 13 years now, and it's time for a change!

4) Child Care Woes

My brother-in-law and his wife are going through some awful stuff with their day-care provider. It's a horrible story....not something I want to repeat in a public blog. Don't worry, the kids are safe. But, we are sick with worry about the family, and praying that everything works out for them.

5) My Father-in-Law is coming to visit us at the end of July. Which is wonderful news, as we haven't seen him since our wedding in 2006. He, and his wife live in Pheonix, and they are coming up to stay with us for a few days. It will be nice. My husband is so much like his father, and I know he is really looking forward to the visit.
