Travelling update

Hi from Victoria, hotel room # 326.
It's been a long day....I've been up since 5:00am.
The trip over was uneventful. My co-workers are frustrated with a lot of the BS that's been going on for the last couple of weeks. A lot of that came out in a meeting that we had this afternoon. Meanwhile, the boss has decided to take a 4 week leave of absence. So, he's now gone for sure for another 4 weeks. Which leaves me in a difficult place. I agreed to help out, but the work in our department is suffering because I'm doing my boss's job. So, I kind of told the powers that be that I am available for 4 weeks, but not much longer after that. They've agreed to hire someone temporary to fill the position going forward. So, we'll just wait and see what happens.
Meanwhile, I'm tired, and frustrated too.
But, I'm on page 527 of 1014 pages of my book. I'm reading Ken Follet's "World Without End" right now. And I knew with all the ferry rides that I'd be getting lots of reading done. I'm 1/2 way through the biggest book on the list right now.
