mending fences

The fence between us the neighbour's was falling down. It's the fence closest to the pool, and actually sat on the retaining wall between our properties.

Well, a couple of weeks ago, the neighbours came by to see if we would help them replace the fence. We took a closer look at it, and decided that we couldn't just replace it...because in a few years we would have the same problem again. So, we decided to have new posts dug on their side of the property line, and then replace the panels. We decided to hire someone to come in and do the work. The neighbours were worried that if the fence was on their side, we wouldn't pay for it. But, it benefits us, as it would look better from our side, and gives us more privacy in the pool area. So, we agreed to pay for 1/2. Yesterday, the boys came to do the work. Looks pretty good doesn't it?

Problem is....now I want to replace all the fencing around the yard to match, and that's just way too expensive!
