I recently completed my first Nora Roberts book. "The Next Always" is book one of a trilogy called the "Inn Boonsboro Trilogy". Nora Roberts has written a lot of books, but I have never read any of hers before, so this was a first for me...
I have to admit, that she writes a lot like Nicholas Sparks does. So, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it's a good way to entertain yourself for a few hours/days/weeks (depending on how fast you read). I have to admit... there's a part of me that likes kicking back with a nice romantic novel, where everyone lives happily ever after. And this one had just enough character development, storyline, and intrigue to keep me hooked until the end. And, the testament to what I would consider a good book, is always the question... would you read the others in the trilogy? The answer is yes.
PS -- I loved the cover art. I've been known to read a book, just because I like the cover. So far, I haven't been too disappointed when I choose that route.
I give the book 3 stars out of 5.
