It's been a week of ups and downs financially. Income tax returns are in (well, his is... mine is sure to follow soon I hope!). But, the pool pump went, and my car needs work. Not to mention that we are still in the market for a new BBQ. Seems like all the big purchases always happen at the same time, don't they?
Well, you would think that I would be on such a tight budget right now, that I would not be out shopping at all. Well, you would be mistaken :-)
Yesterday I took a trip to my local tea store. If you want to read about why I go there, check out this old post of mine... here. Meanwhile, I bought a bunch of my favourite teas, and even decided to try a few new ones. I picked up a green tea called Houjicha which (apparently) is served at many sushi restaurants in Vancouver. I tried it this morning. It has kind of a nutty taste to it, and is really quite nice. I also was given a sample of Honeybush tea. It's kind of like Rooibos, but apparently doesn't have the aftertaste that Rooibos does, and has a sweeter, almost honey like taste. And, besides being caffeine free, it is supposed to have a calming effect on you. Great for people who are stressed, have insomnia, headaches or hypertension. I can't wait to try it. I'll keep you posted.
