Holiday Monday

Happy Victoria Day
The first official long weekend of the summer season. For us, it's always been the weekend that we do most of the planting in the garden, and getting the backyard ready for summer. We've spent the last two days pulling weeds, cleaning outdoor furniture, planting, mowing, and trimming plants and trees. Together, I think we've spent 16 hours in the last 3 days in the garden working. But, the end result is great. I'll post pics soon, I promise.

But, you might notice that I've been blogging a little more than usual. There is a reason for that. I bought myself a new laptop!! I picked it out on Thurs, and spent most of the weekend setting it up, installing programs and personalizing it (well, when I wasn't in the garden). I bought myself a Asus R500A 15.6" laptop. It's fairly light for a 15.6" laptop, so it will be easy for travelling. But, it's big enough to have the numeric keypad on the side for us anal accountant types.

I'm blogging more, because it's easier than blogging on the iPad. And I don't have to boot up hubby's big computer to logon and post a quick blog or two. I won't give up my iPad (I love that thing too much). But, it's nice to have my own computer once again.

It's been a great long weekend. And now... I'm officially on vacation for a week!!
