When in Houston a couple of weeks ago, I had a conversation with a couple of the people from the eastern part of the US. We were talking about water. Soft water, vs. hard water, and how the guy from Florida won't drink the water from his own tap in his house (something that seems really foreign to me!). The conversation flowed to shower heads, and how (because of the hard water) how many times they have to clean their shower heads, and what works best. A fellow co-worker (who just happens to be from Vancouver too) looks at me, shakes his head and says, "When was the last time you cleaned your shower head?". Now, we don't have to clean our shower heads here. In fact, I don't think I've ever cleaned one in my life. But, to add to the conversation, I pointed out : "Well, one of the advantages of having a husband who works in plumbing, is that we change out our shower head more often than I can count. So, even if I did have to clean one, I would probably just get a new one instead".
True to the conversation, this weekend, my husband installed this:
Although, apparently, we are just testing this one. I'm not in love with the square look, so I'm glad it's just a tester.(ie: he sells them, so he wants to know how good they work.)
