We kept one basket for eating, and cut up the rest for freezing (so we can have frozen strawberries in smoothies the rest of the year).

The carnage
Today, we bought 4 flats of strawberries. Fresh local strawberries from the farms about 20 minutes away from home. Grown locally, without pesticides. And so, so good! We bought 4 large baskets full, and I spent a good part of the day cleaning them, and cutting them up.
