Furnace woes, but maybe not

So, our furnace has been acting up lately. Our furnace is as old as the hills. So, I say a prayer to the furnace gods every year when we turn it on. This year, it started acting up. It would shut off a few minutes after coming on despite that it hadn't reached temperature yet. A few minutes later, it would come back on again. It would do that (on and off, on and off) for about 6 or 8 times, and then finally kick in and run normally again. So, we called the "furnace guy".
The furnace guy is a guy that hubby knows through work. He stopped in after work tonight, took a look, and did a few tune-ups. Turns out, our furnace isn't dying. It just needed a little TLC. *yeah*
And, the best part... Because my husband throws so much business his way over the years, he didn't charge us a cent! Again... it's not what you know, it's who you know.
