The air conditioner unit on the roof of our office building died about a week ago. My office, and the two offices to the right of mine, are not getting any air. So, I've been melting away in my office lately. And it is budget season right now, so I'm spending like 12 hours a day in my office. They have to order a new unit, so it will be about 10 weeks before I see any change.
Although, today I got some relief. We had these portable air conditioner units put into our offices.

And while I hate to gripe about things, I have to admit it's a bit of overkill for the office. It cools the office down in about 3 minutes or less, but it's very loud and noisy. And it's a water cooled unit. So, it uses a lot of water. With the drought conditions we have here this summer, I feel guilty about that. But, I'm going to enjoy it as long as I can. Because I get the feeling that they are very expensive, and won't be around long.
