Book Review

I just read The Revenant by Michael Punke.

After the Oscars, I decided I wanted to read the book first before I see the movie. I'm glad I did. It was a really good book. And yes, I'm a little surprised by that. First, the subject matter is not something I usually read, so I wasn't expecting much. And I basically knew what the plot was before I even started. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the book. Yes, it was a little graphic, but I managed to get through those parts. Although, it has me questioning whether I really want to see the movie now. I can usually handle graphic scenes in a book, but when I see the same on the big screen... well, I tend to get a little more grossed out by that.
