With Global Warming, it hasn't been an option to go skating outside in the Vancouver area for a number of years. Things just don't freeze over like they used to in the old days. Except for this year. Because of the cold temps for so long, Vancouver allowed skating on Trout Lake in Vancouver. And the Serpentine River flats in Surrey had a ton of people out in the sunshine playing hockey today.
