Movie Review

We watched (rented) Charlie Wilson's War on the weekend.

I thought it was a good movie. And funny. But not the stupid kind of humour that you find in most movies. Intellegent humour.
I love Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. And the acting in this movie just went to prove why all three are the stars they are. The movie was wonderfully acted, and directed, and had some of their best performances. (I especially liked the scene in Charlie's office with the scotch bottle).
It did seem to be a "rah, rah, go Americans!" type of movie, but I was able to get over it, and really enjoy the movie. Although it is scary to believe that one person could have that much power in politics.
Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5.
