I had a perfect example today of "things that happen for a reason".
Yesterday, I was involved in a customer call that was lasting well past the scheduled hour long session. We came across a problem in the Opening Balance routine. There was an "extra" posting there that I could not figure out where it came from or why it was there. Turns out, it was part of the balancing function of the program.
Now, today. I'm doing a call with a customer. This one is billable work, so I'm very concerned to keep my time to a limit to prevent "over-billing" the customer. And look at that. The same problem that she is having is because of the extra posting in the Opening Balance routine. Same as yesterday. But because I had spent so much time reconciling it yesterday, I knew exactly what to do today.
Gotta like that!!
