Three Things Thursday

3 weird/strange/old songs that make me sing along, bop to the beat, or put a smile on my face...

1) I Can See Clearly Now - Jimmy Cliff / Johnny Nash
(for my favourite version - click this link)

(wasn't that just too cute?)

2) All Summer Long - Kid Rock
For those of you who haven't heard this one, it's a cross between Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama". (Yeah, I know!...sounds funky....but you have to hear the song to understand). A good old fashioned rock song released recently. Glad to know there are still artists out there who like good old fashioned rock.

3) Forever in Blue Jeans - Neil Diamond
I especially like the guitar riff at the beginning of this song. They use this riff on a TV commercial for Children's Hospital's Jeans Day. Makes me smile each time I see it.

I am in my late 30s and went to a Neil Diamond concert a few months ago! There, I said it.

Streetlight and Cherry Cherry are my faves.
