Annie Hall

Last night, we watched Annie Hall. You know...the old 1977 Woody Allen movie with Diane Keaton. Wow! It's been years since I've seen it. And I can't believe how many actors were in it...Shelley Duvall, Colleen Dewhurst, Paul Simon, Christopher Walken, and on and on. Even noticed a quick cameo by Jeff Goldblum. (they all looked so young!!).
Another thing that struck me as we were watching...how many lines in the movie are so darn quotable. And funny! It was extremely well written. I especially laughed about the scene with the spider in the bathroom. That is so me! (I hate spiders).
imdb.com has the tagline for the movie as: A nervous romance :-)
And...something I didn't know...it beat out Star Wars as the Best Picture Oscar for 1977. Which, to me, I guess isn't a big surprise. The writing on this film was a hundred times better than the dialogue in Star Wars.
