you know your roof is in bad shape when a local roofing company leaves a flyer in your mailbox that starts like this...

"In your area today, and we noticed ... the roof on your home may need replacement soon. Should you be considering renovating your roof, we would like to assist..."

Actually, considering the state of our roof now, I would be surprised if they did NOT leave a note such as this. Yes, we are considering getting our roof replaced this year. We've just been too lazy to start phoning around for quotes. I guess this is someone's way of telling us to get off our butts and get it done :-)
