Royal Hudson

The Royal Hudson was in town this weekend. I've always been fascinated with trains. Especially steam locamotives. The Royal Hudson is this area's last steam engine. It used to belong to BC Rail, and when I worked for a division of Rail, it was parked at the end of our property. They would take it out of storage once every couple of months to start it up and wash it down. I remember staring out my window at it, wondering why I never took the trip up to Squamish on it. The train ran from North Vancouver to Squamish on a regular basis until 1999. Then they pulled it from service and sold it about a year later.
Anyways, we heard that it was at the Quay this weekend. But, after yesterday, we didn't have the energy to go and wander around to take pictures. So, instead, I snagged these off the internet, then crawled onto the back deck to read a book in the sun all afternoon.
