Kelley at My Island Wedding has this challenge...(copied from her blog...)
http://myislandwedding.blogspot.com/
Just for fun, follow these directions.
1. Write a blog post about some of YOUR favorite things... can be anything! Include photos! (ie: your dream house; your favorite store or restaurant; your favorite food or beverage; your favorite vacation spot; favorite tv show or recipe... the ideal pet... whatever!)
2. Then send an email to me with the link to your post.
3. I will collect them all and include them on a special post here called "What About You?"!!! (with links back to your site...)Sound fun? Deadline is Monday July 27th!

So, here is my "What about you" post....

My favourite things!

I've loved sea turtles since I was a little girl. I've seen them at the aquarium, but I've never actually touched one (yet). Remember how "swimming with dolphins" was the "in" thing to wish for. Well, I used to wish to go swimming with sea turtles. My Dad has a picture of him holding a sea turtle. The picture was taken during one of the cruises that my parents have been on. I am so jealous of that picture!

I love lighthouses. I've always wanted to live in a lighthouse. The fact that they stand for decades despite the weather that is thrown at them. The fact that they are so close to the sea. The fact that they are so secluded. I love everything about them.

My dream house (besides the lighthouse) is an Victorian style home with a turret, and a porch on the front, complete with porch swing. Inside, there's a huge kitchen, and a family room where everyone curls up by the fire after a big meal. The main living area is downstairs; bedrooms are upstairs. The master bath has a big claw foot tub in the corner. And there's that little storage room under the stairs that is dark and always full of spider webs, so I'm too afraid to go in there, and always make my husband retrieve whatever is stored in there. The house is actually a remodelled one from the 1900's with updated plumbing, wiring, windows, and fixtures, but contains all the original hardwood floors, moldings, and charm of the original building. It is full of history, and old stories, and the place looks like it could be haunted, but once you get to the front gate, or set foot inside, you feel completely at home, relaxed, and cozy. And it often smells like baking bread, or cookies.
