I found this "Dear So-and-So" format on another blogger's website. Can't remember who it was, but I loved the idea. So, I'm shamelessy copying her idea....

Dear Mother Nature
While I appreciate that many of us like the summer, do you really think a week of 30+ degrees (Celcius) is good for us? A week-long HEAT wave? In the middle of the driest summer on record? Are you kidding me?! Have you forgotten this is Vancouver? Have you forgotten I work from home with no air conditioning? So, what if some people like it. Tell them to go to Pheonix. Or Dallas. There's lots of room down there for the heat loving people.
And just what happened to the rain? Why are you sending all our rain to Toronto?
Please! I live in Vancouver because I LIKE THE COLD and the RAIN. Yes, you heard me right! So, turn off the heat, and turn on the sprinklers already!

Dear Cable Company
Yes, I called again because our local station is offline yet again. Yes, I know there's not much you can do about it. You claim it's the station's fault and not yours. But, you have to understand me. I HATE that I pay a fortune for cablevision each month. I HATE that we have had so many problems with our connections since you sold your company to a huge conglomerate a few months back. But, I LOVE my TV. That puts me in a quandry. So, everytime we have problems with the stations, I will call you. And I will complain. And I will continue to do so, no matter how much you tell me, "there's nothing we can do about it".

Dear Mr. Real Estate Guy who sold us our house
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
When we bought the house, it was not my first choice. It was in a great location, but not the style or layout that I wanted. And a pool in the backyard? I didn't know anything about pools, and just thought it would be a huge headache.
Well, it turns out that this house is great! I love my pool! Especially in the hot summer months. It's the perfect way to cool me down. The basement is great too! It's like 10 degrees cooler down there in the summer, so it's the perfect place to hang out, or sleep, during those hot summer nights. So, thanks for a great job!
