Honey bee

Yesterday, we went to the Honeybee Centre. It's a great little place about 1/2 hour from home. They are located on a large farm, where they grow lots of fruit. And they have lots of bee hives. You can get all kinds of local honey from there, as well as honey from around the world that they import. So, I stocked up on all my favourites.

I got Wildflower honey which is light in colour and taste, and great for everyday teas. I also picked up some Orange Blossom honey for my Lady Grey tea... it totally enhances the orange flavour of the tea. And goes great in a lot of fruit flavoured herbal teas. And then I decided to try something new. I picked up a small bottle of Rewarewa honey, from New Zealand. It's a darker stronger tasting honey, that you use for things like toast, or french toast, or baking. It has a little bit of a caramel taste to it. Yummy!
