I finished this on the weekend, on Friday night. I will make a birthday card out of it for someone (and if I remember to, I will post the pick of the finished card when done).
It was a busy weekend, and I got a lot accomplished. It feels good to get things done. I'm in the process of cleaning out my house. The unseasonably warm weather has me motivated to Spring Clean! I'm even planning to have a garage sale sometime soon, as I have a bunch of stuff I want to get rid of.
A trip to Walmart on Sunday for some essentials, and I found storage bins on sale. 5 little bins (think shoe box size) for $5.00. Two larger bins for $5.00. I've been organizing, and storing stuff ever since.
I didn't watch much of the Oscars on Sunday. It was on, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I did see Sandra Bullock win. And when Hurt Locker beat Avatar for Best Director and Best Picture. I haven't seen The Hurt Locker, or Avatar yet, so I can't comment on either. But I was surprised, as I've heard a lot of good reviews on Avatar, and not so much on The Hurt Locker. But then again, it's no surprise really, as I've always believed that the Oscars are awarded not to the best performance, or the best movie, but to the most politically appropriate choice at the time.
Hubby cut the grass on Monday. Is it really the beginning of March? It feels more like April. Although, it still gets cold at night.
I have to take Grandma to the hospital on Wednesday for tests. Mom and Dad are out of town, and she wanted someone to go with her. So, I took a sick day from work. Remind me to bring the IPod with me...I think it's going to be a long boring day! Did I ever mention that I hate hospitals? Well, I do. It probably stems from the 7 day stay I had to endure when I was 7 years old because I had pneumonia. It was a horrible week, and I remember ever little detail, even though I was only 7. So, while I'm not looking forward to tomorrow, I am glad I can be there for Grandma.
