First, I took a quick look in my cookbooks to find a recipe for tuna. There was only one recipe, and it called to have the tuna ground up and made into patties. I decided I didn't want to do that. So, taking some of the ingredients from that recipe, I made up my own. I marinaded the steaks in a mixture of sesame oil, soya sauce, ginger, garlic and lemon juice for about 20 minutes while I cooked the rest of the meal. Then, coated them in sesame seeds, and pan fried them on high in just a touch of sesame oil, for about 5 to 7 minutes a side. They were served with potatoes, and steamed broccoli and cauliflower. It was delicious! And the 2 steaks cost us $7.39 for both....so it was economical too!

dinner
I made Ahi Tuna for dinner last night. It's not something we normally have for dinner. In fact, this was the first time I had cooked it. If we have fish, we usually have salmon or cod. But, most of the time, we don't cook fish. So, the only time I eat fish is when I order it at a restaurant, or go out for sushi. But, in the spirit of trying to eat healthier, we saw the tuna steaks at the supermarket the other day, they were fresh and not farmed or previously frozen, so we decided to pick them up. Despite the fact that I'd never cooked them before, they turned out great!
