Last night we got dumped on. Snow I mean. See?
The snow is wet, and heavy. Sometime in the middle of the night (around 3:00am), I woke up to a loud crack, and crash sound. I've heard that sound before! It was the sound of tree branches snapping and falling to the ground. Sure enough...
We tried to move the branches off of the road this morning, but we couldn't budge them. They look small, but they aren't. And they are heavy! So, we'll have to break out the chain saw tonight when A gets home from work, and buck them up into smaller, more manageable pieces.
I'm thankful that no one had parked their car there overnight. Parking in front of our house, under the tree, seems to be the prime parking spot in the cul-de-sac for people, and we've had problems in the past with neighbours parking there and "hogging" our parking spots. Maybe the sight of the branches on the ground will have people thinking twice about parking in front of our house now!
Meanwhile, the snow has turned to rain, and is melting very quickly.

Thank goodness it didn't fall on your house either! We can take the wood if you want.
