Time is only supposed to go by fast when you are having fun, right? So, why does it just fly by when I'm up to my eyeballs in work, and life in general?? I'm not doing anything really fun lately. Just the normal routine. But, it's already Tues and I haven't blogged since last Thursday!
What have we been up to? Not much really... I got the brakes done on my car on the weekend. And work has been totally insane! For both of us. So, we have been coming home from work exhausted and not doing much afterwards.
As far as finding time for crafting... well, I'm thinking that I should really just concentrate on one thing, and do only that one thing until it's done. My problem is that I usually have too many things on the go at once. For example, right now, I have:
- 2 cross-stitch patterns I'm actively working on
- one scrapbook calendar for 2011 that I'm still trying to finish (I only have Aug and Nov to do yet).
- 3 books that I'm currently reading (one regular fiction book, one non-fiction e-reader book, and one old classic book)
And that doesn't count the number of cross-stitch patterns that I WANT to do, or the stack of books that I still want to read, or the movies we got for Christmas that we haven't watched yet, or the recipes that I want to make from the new recipe books I got for Christmas.
I have my "To Do" list, which I usually tackle each day, and get most of it done when I have to. Then there is my "Want" list. That's much bigger and much more of a challenge. I guess I'll just have to win the lottery, so I can retire early, and have more time to work on my "Want" list. Although, my Mother would say that it doesn't quite work that way. The more time you have, the more stuff gets added to your "Want" list.
What is on your "Want" list?
