Goodbyes

I found out today that my Mom's cousin's husband passed away this morning.
J (Mom's cousin) and A (her husband) had been together... well, a long time... since before I was born. I have to admit, that I didn't spend a lot of time with them... they were a bit older than me. But, I would see them at family functions, and I would bump into them at Mom and Dad's on occasion. My memories of A are pleasant. He always had a smile on his face (and I mean ALWAYS!) And he had a laugh that was contagious. He had been sick for awhile from what I hear. But somehow, that doesn't make it any easier to hear the news.

I feel for J. I'm sad for her, and I wish her well.
And I gave my husband extra hugs tonight, just because...
