I finished another book this weekend.
The "Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick.
Now, this is not my normal kind of read, but it was a very interesting book. First... it's a young adult book, or even children's book. It wasn't written for adults, but that made it so easy to read. Second, it was an illustrated book. Most of the book were drawings and illustrations. Which was kind of interesting... I haven't read a book like this for ages.
They made a movie out of this book called "Hugo". It was in theatres around Christmas time, and we were going to go see it, but never found the time to. I'm just waiting for the movie to come out on DVD now. Maybe I should go look to see if it has yet. It's a story about a boy who lives in a train station in Paris in the late 1800's, and who is trying to fix a mechanical man (automaton).
Anyways, I really enjoyed the story, and would recommend this one to anyone who doesn't mind reading the odd illustrated book. It was a cute story, and highly original. I give the book 4 stars out of 5.
