Audio book

I finished "reading" Cleaving, by Julie Powell (of Julie and Julia fame).

When I say "reading", it's because I purchased this as an audio book. I've been listening to the book read to me by the author on my way back and forth to work. Now one would think with a two hour commute each day, I would have blasted through the CDs in a few weeks. But, it took me almost 6 months to finish this book. Why? I don't really listen to it in the mornings. I really only listened in the evenings. And after listening to the traffic reports and news for about 1/2 of the way home, that would leave only time enough to listen to one chapter at a time.
The book itself wasn't something I probably would have finished on my own if I were to read it. It wasn't near as good as Julie and Julia. But, that's what I get for buying a discount audio book. I don't know if you've noticed, but audio books are REALLY expensive. I'm talking $35-50 for most new books. This one, I picked up on a discount table for under $20. So, it's no wonder it wasn't the best book around. But, it did make a few commutes a little more palatable.
Overall, I give this one a 2 out of 5.
