Camera child

About 10 years ago, I handed my 4 year niece my camera, and told her to take some pictures. It's a digital camera so I didn't think too much of anything could go wrong. I told her to be careful with it, but seriously, unless she dropped it in the toilet, there was little that she could have done to it that I hadn't done already, including dropping it on a concrete floor. I thought I would get back a ton of pictures that were useless, out of focus or just plain bad. But, she surprised me. Some of the pictures were not only good, but taken from a perspective that I hadn't considered... that of a 4 year old... somewhat closer to the ground than the rest of us adults.

Anyways, to make a long story short, whenever that kids come to visit, I usually hand them my camera. One... it makes them feel all important to be taking pictures with Auntie's camera. But, two, you get some really good photos. My 10 year old niece (the aspiring actress in the family) took this one yesterday... it's her strawberry-faced little brother... so cute!
