It's been unseasonably warm, hot, and dry and so early in the summer. May and June were 87% below normal precipitation levels in Vancouver than what we are normally used to. And I'm feeling about the same as our lawn... hot, and parched dry. Today it got up to 90 degrees. Again!
I live in Vancouver, because I like the rain, and cooler temps. I don't mind the occasional day of heat, but this is getting a little out of control. The strawberries were early. There blueberries are ripening now. Even the "hummingbird tree" is flowering...
Usually this doesn't flower until mid to late August (the end of the summer).
Global warming?
