commotion on an otherwise quiet afternoon

I guess it's prom season already...
A large bus pulled up the street and parked in the driveway of our neighbours on the other side of the cul-de-sac. Then, about 20 cars descended on the area, and parked up and down the street. There were about 30 teenagers, dressed to the nines, that climbed off the bus. Then, another 20 or so adults taking pictures, and pictures, and pictures. Squeals (like only teenage girls can) and laughter drifted across the street. All the time, in the background, some big sub-woofer on the bus was rattling the windows...boom, boom, boom, ba-boom, boom boom.
The whole scenario lasted about 40 minutes.
There were a lot of hugs, and even more pictures. Then the teenagers climbed back on the bus, and the parents climbed back into their cars, and then everyone left.
It's so quiet here now! I really hope they have a good time!
