Jon and Kate

Did you see the Jon and Kate Season Premier last night?
I don't usually watch the show. I don't like the way Kate is portrayed as the "bitchy" one...always talking down to her husband. I don't think I've ever heard her say once nice thing about him. Now, how does that look to your kids? eh, Kate? Don't give me that line..."it's just part of the show". Maybe it is, but that's still no excuse to subject your kids to that kind of behaviour. They will grow up thinking it's ok to talk down or belittle the men in their life. Not good.

Ok...so I'm not a big fan of the show. But, lately, there's been nothing else on. So, while channel surfing, I found myself stopping at the show just after it started. There was obviously something happening between the 2 of them. Did you see that body language!?! My goodness! If this whole thing is just for ratings...then kudos to both of you. You certainly have me convinced that you hate each other.

But why??? Jon said that there was no reason to say what happened....everyone knew....so, he wasn't going to talk about it. Ok...Jon...I get that...but do you think you can fill me in? I don't know what's going on!! I don't happen to read the tabloids, or follow your show, or even pretend to know what's happening in your life. So, just what is going on??

Long story short, I came away from the show feeling like I missed out on some big secret. So, I googled them today, and read a few articles, and watched a few you tube videos on them. Ok...I get it now. He got caught cheating...or what looks like he was cheating....and now his wife is so mad, she won't even talk to him. I think they both need a few hours with Dr. Phil. (Again, not one of my favourites characters on the tube...but that's another post).

I think I'll read a book tonight, and leave the TV off. :-)
