whew!

The truck is back home safe and sound. It was only the battery. No new battery cables needed. No new connections needed. Just a clean new battery (and an oil change) and she's good as new. That's good! It only cost us $200 (including the oil change and taxes and enviro fees). whew! That's a load off of our minds. We were thinking it was going to be a lot more.

Meanwhile, when A was driving the truck home tonight, he stopped to fill up with gas, and got the shock of his life. Gas prices went down to 99.9 cents a litre today. But someone at the gas station put the decimal in the wrong place. So, when A plugged his Debit card into the machine, it automatically pre-authorized $100. Imagine his surprise then, when the machine stopped at 10 litres, and wouldn't give him any more gas!! $99 for 10 litres of gas! And we thought the prices were down! Long story short...the gas station admitted the mistake, and after changing the pump price, he filled up, and got the balance of the $100 in cash. whew!

For my American friends...from Google...
99.9 (Canadian cents a litre) = 3.78162637 Canadian dollars per US gallon

Good news about the truck. Thank goodness for BCAA!
