It's raining! Yeah!
For most people, that wouldn't be something to celebrate. But I'm a true Vancouverite who loves the rain, and loves the smells and sounds of the rain. There is something very calming about it all. It's been warm and sunny out the last couple of weeks, with little rain to speak off. And, to be honest, I was feeling a little parched! So, I'm sitting here, in my office, with the window open, listening to the rain fall. It's not a hard rain, or big ole fat rain. It's just failing gently, and watering my garden and making the yard smell all earthly. When the rain hits the pool, it sounds kind of like the bubbles in a glass of soda pop. (We call it the 7-Up sound, even though neither of us has had a 7-Up in ages. But, it just sounds better than Root-Beer sound). The window is open, but the wind is slight, so it's not really that cold in here. It's 68....cold for some, but just perfect for me.
I think it's going to be a great day. I wish I could go for a walk instead of having to sit here working.
