Goodbyes

I don't usually post anything political in nature, but I had to share this. Jack Layton, leader of the oposition party in Canada, lost his battle with cancer yesterday. It was a sad day in Canada. Whether you agreed or disagreed with his politics, you did have to admire the man for accomplishing what he did this year. I especially like the below quote that he included in his farewell letter to Canadians....

My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world. -- Jack Layton
