vacation recap

I've been on vacation since the last week of October. I don't go back to work until Nov 12th. It's been a very good vacation so far. What have I been up to? Here's a quick recap...

- My vacation started with a trip to Victoria for the weekend with hubby. We had a great time. It was fun to hang out with him all weekend.

- I spent lots of time watching movies, TV shows on Netflix, cross stitching, and reading magazines and blogs. We even starting watching Game of Thrones again. We should be finished by the time I go back to work. Although, I haven't started a new book yet.

- Got the snow tires put on my car. I'm ready for winter!

- Spent time with my Mother, my Mother-in-Law, and some friends. I missed spending a day with my sister though... Had to go to the dentist instead. But, there is always another time. I talk to her on the phone every week, so it's not like we don't know what each other is up to.

- I honestly forgot what day it was the other day. Not only did I not know what date it was, I also could not remember what day of the week it was. A sign of a great vacation, so says my husband.

- I had a bit of a scare with a sore tooth. I though another tooth abscess was in my future. But, I ran off to the dentist, and got antibiotics, and started taking them. My tooth still hurts, but I can deal with it... not like the abscess I had before.

- Spent a few days out shopping, and even visited my first Christmas craft fair. All the decorations around totally got me in the mood for Christmas this year.

- The weather has been off and on for the last 2 weeks. Although, every time I went out somewhere, the weather was beautiful and sunny. Every day I needed to stay home (like when I had my car in the shop to get the tires put on), the weather was cloudy, rainy and windy. The weather may not have been perfect the last 2 weeks, but it's been perfect for me!

I hope the last few days of vacation are just as good as the last 2 weeks have been. I don't really want to go back to work just yet. But, at least this time I really feel like I got a break from it all.
