Today is the Winter Solstice. Also known as the shortest day of the year, or the longest night of the year. And from now on, the days will start getting longer.
It's also the first day of winter, although with the snow on Tuesday, sub zero temps this week, and more snow in the forecast, it already feels like winter. (And yes, the forecast is calling for snow on Christmas Eve this year, so we might have a white Christmas!!)
