Movie Review

Have you seen Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood?
We saw it a couple of weeks back, and I loved it. It was a fresh storyline, and wonderfully acted. I hadn't seen many reviews or trailers for the movie, so I really didn't know what to expect. And, yet, after I saw it, I realized that there is no one who could have played that part any better than Mr. Eastwood. He certainly has the cantankerous old man persona down to a tee.
Caution: If you are easily offended by racial slurs, or political incorrectness, than don't bother. This movie was full of it. But, I don't think it was overdone. It was so true to the character and the storyline.
The movie was full of one liners (what else would you expect from Clint?), so much so, that we had to pause, rewind, and re-play more than once, just to pick up on what was said. (My sister says something about the more an actor gets paid, the more he mumbles on screen --- so true!!)
Overall, I loved it. We watch a lot of movies, and this is one of the better ones we've seen in a long time.
