projects

My Mom gave me a couple of eye-glass cases that she had lying around the house. They had a stitched design on the front. One was partially complete, the other wasn't even started yet. The deal was this: she would give both of them to me...I was to complete both projects...and then give one back to her...which means, I got to keep the other one. Here's mine...

I don't have a pic of the other one, but it had sunflowers on it.
They were interesting to do. They weren't cross-stitch patterns. More like 1/2 cross-stitch. Stitched on fabric that was much bigger than 14 count Aida. So, the holes, and needle were larger than what I'm used to using.
Last night, I went back to my usual cross-stitch on 14 count aida, and the little tiny needle. After working on the bigger patterns for over 2 weeks, I found it hard to re-adjust back to the smaller fabric and needle. I just about poked my eye out a couple of times! And my fingers have more poke holes in them than normal!!
