The Forgotten Garden, by Kate Morton
I picked it up from Costco, simply because of the book cover. It looked so fall-like, and I was in a fall-like kind of mood. I know! You are not supposed to judge a book by it's cover! But, if I did that, I wouldn't have picked this up! And I so enjoyed it!
It's written by an Australian author, Kate Morton. The story is about 3 generations of woman from the same family, and the story jumps back and forth between the three... from 1900's, to 1970's, to 2005. It's based on a 'mystery' event that takes place in the 1900's and how that event impacts the lives of the other generations. It had everything from mystery to romance in it, with a group a very well defined characters. The book was very well written, and kept me intriqued until the end. I had a hard time putting it down.
I would definitely recommend this book, and am now looking forward to reading other Kate Morton titles.
